My Philosophy
"Still Waters" is inspired by Psalm 23, a passage that holds a special place in my heart: "I make you lie down in green pastures. I lead you beside still waters." This verse conveys peace, tranquility, and rest—values I strive to bring to my clients. In the bustling world of business, marketing can feel overwhelming, like trying to keep your head above water. My goal is to provide you with peace of mind, affording you more time for your family, yourself, and the aspects of your work that you truly love.
I started Still Waters Creative because I saw a need in the marketplace. Many small businesses struggle to find trustworthy, skilled professionals to handle their marketing needs. While there are countless independent contractors and agencies, few are devoted specifically to small businesses or have affordable pricing. I pride myself on being thorough and perfectionistic, ensuring that my clients are 100% satisfied with the results.
This venture began as a passion project, fueled by my entrepreneurial spirit and love for helping others. Designing websites for friends and family and starting social media profiles for businesses I worked at during my teenage years made me realize the joy it brings me to see people light up at the sight of their new website or a well-crafted piece of content.
At Still Waters Creative, I aim to support you in doing what you love. When individuals can devote more time to their passions and strengths, rather than tasks that drain them, businesses become more effective and creative, and the world becomes a more beautiful place.
About Me, Julia Guagliardi
I’m Julia Guagliardi, the founder and owner of Still Waters Creative. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Business Management from The King’s College, earning the Business and Finance Academic Excellence Award. My career has been diverse, blending roles in strategic marketing, customer experience enhancement, and critical support functions.
As the Executive Assistant at Starling Wealth Management LLC, I have spearheaded strategic marketing initiatives and provided comprehensive support. My background includes coaching healthcare professionals in establishing and marketing private practices, cultivating investor interest, and conducting meticulous competitive research. During my time as Administrative Manager for a local nonprofit serving the homeless, I improved financial practices, managed bookkeeping, and orchestrated events that led to a 600% increase in fundraising income.
In addition to my professional roles, I served as a professor’s assistant for a marketing course, where I helped students develop a niche, create websites, and market blogs. My experience spans marketing a feature film, copywriting, guest writing for blogs, and social media management. As the Customer Success Manager for Dream Practice Academy, I supported members in constructing and enhancing MVP websites, applying my expertise in design, SEO best practices, and compelling copy.
I’m also a Notary Public for the Commonwealth of Virginia, bringing trust and credibility to my endeavors. My dynamic approach, diverse expertise, and proven results make me a valuable partner for your marketing needs.
In my free time I enjoy gardening, traveling, going to the beach, demolishing my husband at tennis or pickleball, and curling up with a good book alongside my two children (cats), Billie & Bella.
